Destination: Scotland Departing: August 30, 2008 Arriving in the UK: August 31, 2008 Returning to the USA: September 10, 2008 The 2008 Landmarks of the Faith Tour to Scotland is completely full! If you would like to be placed on our Advanced Notice e-mail list for early announcement of our upcoming tour, please contact us. For more information about the 2008 tour, please visit: Reservations. Dear Pilgrims, Patriots, and Friends,
My wife Marilyn and I, along with our Co-host Eric Leach, would like to invite you all to a one-of-a-kind Land-Tour of a lifetime. Our 11-day escorted Landmarks of the Faith Tour of Scotland has been thoughtfully planned with fellow history enthusiasts and homeschool families in mind. We'll visit ancient historic sites that have stood the test of time—the castles of Edinburgh, Stirling, and Dunnottar; the battlefields of Bannockburn, Stirling Bridge, and Culloden, as well as the breathtaking mystique of the highlands, the islands, and the lochs of Scotland—such as the highlands of Inverness, the Isle of Iona, and "ye banks and braes" of Loch Ness, and Loch Lomond. And we've only just begun. As you will see by the proposed 2008 travel map, this is not going to be your average "run-of-the-mill" tour. Although, come to think of it, we will have a "run" to the world-renown Scottish woolen mills, as well as tartan shops along the Royal Mile of Edinburgh, for as long as time and our "sneakers" permit. However, in addition to the many ancient landmarks we'll visit, we'll take time to recapture and reflect upon the faith-building accounts Eric and I will share as we walk the steps of the Scottish heroes of history—William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, John Knox, David Livingstone, and the Scottish Covenanters, to name a few. For those of you who are interested in our future Landmarks of the Faith tours, and are not currently receiving At the Ministry Front—an e-mail dispatch about this tour, as well as "Little Bear's" ministry schedule—please be sure to sign up through our Mantle Ministries online E-mail Express for future announcements. If you have any further inquiries, please don't hestitate to contact us. As a closing thought and practical suggestion inspired by my wife's Scottish thriftiness, some of you might want to start a special "Trip to Scotland" savings account for your family as a gift to each other, or as a suggestion to grandparents and friends who haven't the foggiest idea of what to get you for Christmas, birthdays, graduation, and anniversaries. As a matter of fact, maybe the grandparents would like to join us, too! Hope to see you all here, there, or in Ayr—Ayrshire, Scotland, that is!
